Check out my similar experience with Bryan Byrt: Bad experience with Bryan Byrt Skoda (Mount Gravatt)
I'm looking to buy a used Yet, but should I trust them again?
Shakey
Thanks for your support -
Sort of 2 problems
Had paid for the car before the details were fully made known
And we did actually want the car
So to enter into protracted, possible legal wrangling wasn't on the radar
Just have to bite the bullet and admit that the %$*#%&*# (read whatever superlative you want) got the better of us and move on. It is still a great car and from what I can see quite a good deal.
MISSVDUB
Glad it went well for you and a good "plug" for your dealer
Guess when they do well they should be praised, same as the opposite
VAGnewbie
Funny you should ask
No there has been no contact from Bryan Byrt, or anyone else for that matter.
I did get an email from their marketing company asking me to fill out a questionnaire
Instead, to save me a lot of typing, I gave them a link to this thread
But there has been only screaming silence since
Would have thought that the now almost 1800 views [edit June 2013 - now 2,600] might have stirred some response
But "no" - guess it only confirms that they really don't care about individuals and forums such as this have no real effect in the long run
As an aside, my son who started this whole "drama" - it was he who looking for a new car and we just went along with him and ended up getting the Yeti did get his new car. But because of what happened with Bryan Byrt he ended up with not only another dealer but another brand as well. So unfortunately, one less for Skoda.
Nothing done with coding yet - no way I would let THEM touch it
They got it wrong first time and you confirm they don't know what they are doing
Will be fitting a towbar and intend on getting a VCDS cable to activate the towing stability program
Will sort it out then
Regards to all

Agree with Brad
As the adage goes "once bitten, twice shy"
Guess if you did and they lived down to their reputation you could hardly go crook
OTOH any other dealer could be just the same - their only purpose in life is to separate you and your money
But not all car purchases are "bad" experiences
Last month we bought a new Fiat 500 from Aspley Fiat (also Chrysler Dodge)
The whole deal, from initial phone call to final pick up was pleasurable
Test drive, they just gave us a car and said "Drive for as long as you want"
No pressure to sign was applied at all - we then went to another dealer on the Gold Coast on the way home
Was too late to ring Aspley Fiat that night, but when we did next morning
the red 500 we wanted had been sold in the first 1/4 hour that morning - bummer
So they dropped the price of a white one with black roof to the same price as the red one ($500 off)
All went so smooth - totally unlike the Yeti purchase at Bryan Byrt
This what we found when we walked it to take delivery of the car
