mechanic lismore - Exhaust system fault

Hi everyone, i have a Crafter 2009.
" Exhaust system fault ( exhaust gas warning lamp" lights on my control panel. I need to go to mechanic for checking out. " My van around 125k seviced around 117k. I did my own research some people was talking about it can be sensor fault. I'm looking affordable VW or European mechanic.

went to Volkswagen mechanic in Byron Bay.
They checked the van and they told lights didn't turned on while we are checking but if it will show.up again you have to replace "DPF pressure sensor and re-inspection " it means they will start with cheapiest solution to fix it, if it will not work they will try to find another solution. So they don't know what is cause of problem. And lights was on after i drove half an hour. It is really bothering when we don't know what is cause of problem.


They checked my van with " Snap On" tools i thought they are gonna check with VCDS.
I don't know the difference between snap on and VCDS. But sounds like we can be more sure of cause with VCDS –
