Interesting Observation, 2021 Crafter.

After 7 months hard slog, my Crafter LWB Camper Conversion is about complete.

I went on a test drive to Sydney, came home washed the van and decided to give under the bonnet a wash and the bug screen on the front.
Not using high pressure, only the garden hose, I washed with soap, the front of under the bonnet and washed out where the leaves and muck build up at the bottom of the screen, after doing this...

The wipers no longer worked.

I closed the bonnet, gave the screen another hose, went to wiper away the water, low and behold, no wipers. No washers.
In the morning when the water had dried, they were working again.
I spoke to the dealer to see if there was any common issue that he knew of, No answer, no known issue, or non that he would tell me about.

Any how, just thought I would share this experience.
The van is new only, 4000 kms.

Tell him to contact VW Wollongong service.
They replaced mine under warranty.
Guess what?
Every time it rained.............they stopped working!
What a pain that was!
If it happens again......put the wipers on and get out and give them a shove and they should start up.
That's what I had to do until they got the new motor in.........they said the old one was damaged inside.
VW diagnostics showed nothing but my VCDS was showing Wiper Limit Switch error.

I'm thinking it is a faulty seal around the motor wiper shaft that lets water in but they didn't tell me any more than damaged inside.
