    The Crafter Thread

Bought another Crafter a few weeks ago......something a little different.

Its a Crafter 50 120kw with Lightweight 'Monopan' 5m long Pantech body fitted.

    Nice number plate!..?

Apparently this style of Crafter is a first here in WA at least.

Something I thought VW may push a little more to compete with the likes of Isuzu 200 / 300's, Hinos, and Mitsubishi Canters...all of which are Cab over designs....and hence drive far worse.

Heres my other Crafter which is now 3 years old and still going stong.

And a size comparison to a Hiace 6.0 which someone suggested to me was a 'Big' van.........

    Anyone else running Crafters?

    Nice!
I was considering Crafter when I was buying my T5. If only they made it short wheel base and 4x4.

Gotta love the plates. My R34 Skyline had 1CNT***, alot of people told me it suited as it was a very neat 34 and thats what they thought of me. ha.

Nice mates Thad Hopefully my mates dont think of me what the Number plate suggests !

Dylan: Just regular Car license on both Crafter vans....it is easier for hiring drivers

Transporter: And DSG in the Crafter would be nice also, rather than the yawn...gearshift...yawn...gearshift...that is 'Powershift'

(Well, actually the manuals are just fine....but it would be nice to have a decent alternative!)

Future info points to inhouse design on next Crafter instead of teaming with Daimler (MB) so DSG could be an option instead of last gen tech from the Sprinter.

    Both your Crafters are great

There was a metallic blue one at the dealer it really suited the Crafter.

EDIT I thought with Crafter 50 your meant to have a truck licence?

The Blue Crafter looks sweet Phaeton

I was originally going to order my original Crafter in Silver....but one of the companies I contract to request white vehicles only...and in the contract it states they can make you respray your vehicle if not.....best not to take the chance!

So is this a Powershift setup? Looks like a manual stick but it obviously only has the two pedals.

I'll have my Crafter in Dual Cab format thank you....
