    AdBlue error message

AdBlue tank always refilled on time, never went bellow half. The warning on the dash came when the adblue tank was near full. The top-up took less than 1L of adblue.
The Crafter has still 1 year warranty remaining, so it's booked at the Southern Volkswagen for 17 February to rectify the problem.
There's no fault anywhere in the system when scanned with the VCDS. AdBlue error message-screenshot_20250210_171316_gmail-jpg

    AdBlue error message

No doubt it will be a fault in the pump itself or the Adblue injector is blocked with crystallised Adblue. If its the latter, and the injector is easy to access, its a quick fix.

Saw someone the other day mention a product that you put in the fuel tank that stops/reduces the Adblue crystallising. It was a Wynns additive.

The trip to the dealer was avoided.

Updated software fixed this issue. Have driven since 300km, and everything seems to be working fine with no error messages.

Just a few tips for those who are unaware.

Always fill up the adblue and drive. I was always doing it at the end of working week at home, and often, the van was stationary for 2-3 days afterwards. It may have contributed to the problem.

Always use fresh adblue, I always check the expiry date and can tell you that in many stores around Adelaide, they're selling adblue that's expired.

Good to hear you were able to fix the issue without going to the dealership. How did you get access to and upload the software update?

Thankfully my diesel vehicle is pre-AdBlue so I don't have to worry about this crap, but apart from being in date, also apparently if exposed to direct sunlight and heat it affects the AdBlue, so if petrol stations are storing it outside and its in the sun, you should avoid it.
