Thanks Ben,the sales person did not know about the tyre preassure monitor in the glove box.

When the Jetta 5 was launched,I wanted one immediatly.

Want to see the 147,as I think with the extra chrome bits and nicer alloys,it will be the only one to go for in the new Jetta range.

Checked out a 118TSI at Austral today and from an exterior point of view, I'm impressed.

The interior - not so much. It's too similar to the Mk5 to even consider it a "new car". VW has a bad habit of adding new pieces to old cars e.g. the steering wheel and instrument cluster, along with the RCD510 and the new climatronic should've been reseved for the Mk6, not bolted onto the Mk5 because now, the Mk6 doesn't feel like a new car and certainly doesn't feel any different to my 2010 Jetta.

Is this a fair price for the 147 Highline with Satnav + Metallic paint = $42500 driveway?
    Hi,
I ordered the 147 with Satnav, sunroof, sportpack, metallic paint and towbar for $45 drive away. So I'm guessing you should be able to do better about 10-11% off is the discount you should get, so perhaps $41k driveaway for you!

Wow, that's a pretty good price. I was quoted $42900 for the 147 with sports pack. That was without negotiation though.

Which dealer did you go to??

Doesn't say anything about sunroof or SatNav in the description. Could be just the price for the 147TSI alone without the optional extras.
