slitko, did you actually see on the fact sheet for the Jetta 6 or did the dealer say that Xenon headlights would be available...? I have read through all German, British & French brochures & there is no mention of Xenon headlights in any of them not standard or even as an option. Nor is there any mention of Xenon headlights in Accessories brochures. I have also looked through countless test drives reviews from European sources & there again is no mention anywhere of Xenon lights being available.... Seems strange I know, but I cannot find any mention of Xenons for Jetta 6 anywhere....

You are right there is no mention of Xenons for the new Jetta but dealer is going to try see what they can do as they themselves do not know at this time. If no Xenons not a problem as my brother is not really bothered with them but I wanted them for the Daytime LED lights that other new VW have now

Anthony - They said if you place order now should be here on launch which is September/October. They have no price but are placing the order based on current Jetta prices.

No update to the new jetta for me anthony... not for the moment anyway.

We will be updating to an R36 wagon next but......if all works out to plan i will keep our current jetta so we have to cars and it will become my weekend toy

Have been corresponding with some guys in some VW forums in the UK & one in a German forum all have confirmed that Xenon (bi-xenon) headlights are not available for the Jetta MK6 in the UK, Germany or anywhere it is already on sale. This seems like a crazy situation that a Jetta cannot be had with Xenons, not even in Europe. Sadly for me it will mean no Jetta MK6 in my driveway if it arrives here without a Xenon option. Maybe I should start looking at a Passat....?

Front looks rather blandish like the current crop now.
Frontal looks still have not improved over the mk5 in my opinion.
Your not going to know whether its a new golf/passat/jetta coming toward you.
Will stick with my current Jetta for a while yet.

Would be good to see a frontal pic of a new Jetta and mk5 together, I think the old will look better.

Strike me fella's, it is only a personal preference.....

stickshift, spot on mate I wouldn't buy a car, especially a european one if Xenon lights were not available at least as an option. Currently owning two cars with Xenon the difference is quite stark between halogen & Xenon lights. Considering all options my absolute preference would be to never go back to an inferior product, especially considering the better safety aspects Xenon lights offer......
