Is it just me or does it just look like an Audi A4

If you compare the rear of this to the rear of an A4, I reckon there's a very very close resemblence! The shape of the boot lid and tail lights are very similar IMO.

Yes,the rear half of the new Jetta is very Audi A4 ish,and I think that will help to make it popular,as its a very good looking rear end.

When you look at the white one with no front bumper i could swaer it's a Lancer (headlight shape, tall boot, no definition in the body work etc)

That particular pic, to me, looks like an older model Civic or Accord.

    Jetta R36!!!!!

HI all, Just found this on Used Cars - New Cars - Search New & Used Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au news. Looks like VW are interested in a Jetta 'R' With the biggest animal of a V6 out there, the Lovely sounding, powerful and characterful 3.6 VR6.... Can't wait, it's on my Christmas list.

Volkswagen provides a sneak peek at Jetta R

I already posted it but Corey must have moved it into the Mk6 Jetta super-thread.

It's just showing off the engine at the moment, no official bodywork upgrades but surely it will loook like the Golf R and Scirocco R just with a boot.

Yep. Since the MK6 Jetta is no longer a "Golf with a boot", this won't be the forum for it.
So I'm trying to keep Jetta stuff in the one place. Especially since this is hardly an actual R36 Jetta announcement. VW have just said that it could fit AWD and a V6.

Yeh but it's a completely different story line to the euro spec Jetta being released. If this is the case Why no separate jetta forum then? It just means anyone not interested in the rest of the good/bad and simply inane replies to the jetta thread may miss out on on completely different news, like I initially did hence the re-post.

No it may not be announced, but its one helluva step in the right direction.
