So I get a chime, and the brake booster warning light comes on. Only 60,000ks over 3 1/2 years so that seems odd. The warning also applies to low brake fluid, so I took it to the dealer to get it checked. Nope, not brake fluid level, so it must be the booster. Duttons put it through as a goodwill claim.

They get the booster in, arrange a free loan car, and I drop off the Jetta.

That was a week ago, they now think it must be an ABS module, none available and on back order.

While frustrating (the loan car is a Cruze, as a competitor for the Jetta I can't get over how much worse it is) I'm glad that I'm getting a free mloan car and VW is processing it as a goodwill claim, I'm 5,000 ks and 8 months out of warranty.

Given the Jetta is a bit of a Golf VI/ VII hybrid, has anyone else had brake booster issues?
