Already taken in, Headliner getting replaced along with an array of clips, both C pillar trim pieces and some other crap mentioned by the dealer. All covered under warranty
Hi everyone,
I'm having some issues with the interior trim in my Jetta that some people would say is me being too fussy, but I hate it when crap brakes or doesn't work properly because that really defeats the whole purpose of buying a new car.
The plastic trim piece that covers the interior of the 'C' pillar is coming away from the actual pillar and now there is a gap between it and the door seals/rubber (been doing this since 6 months after I bought it brand new). It's supposedly been fixed by the dealer 4 times now, with the last two repairs having the parts replaced (under warranty). Also, it's gotten worse since the repairs.
I've been back to the dealer, and they suggested to take off the ENTIRE roof lining of the car to see whats causing the issue. It's been all booked in on the 16th of this month but now i'm worried that they'll cause more problems by taking the lining off then there was in the first place.
I asked to look at another used jetta for sale, and it showed some similar signs of the same problem but not as bad as mine.
I just want to know of any opinions as to whether I should go ahead with the work or just ask them to patch it up and leave it. Also is this a common problem amongst VAG vehicles?
