Well I spoke to a very helpful guy who I think is deeply entrenched in a VW garage and who knows alot about dq200 dsg as well as VW's technical product info that dealers use as guides to determine when to update software or how to explain certain issues to the customer. He mentioned that slight juddering can occur while clutches bed in while new up to 20000 km. one software update changes shift points so mild juddering is sorted out.

Only when juddering is severe will clutch plates be changed. I would describe mine as mild judder and it happens on one hill in particular. I was advised not to worry just yet as my mileage is low and clutch may still be bedding in. I'll post back if I find anything else.

I first came on to this forum before buying my jetta so I don't fall into the category of "people who only go online to whinge". You also came on here MONTHS before taking delivery and the chances of both of us just happening to end up with the 1% of people having issues is slim.
Any further updates ziggyboy? I'm up to 18000 km now. Judder occurs randomly but not very frequently and can be stopped via using sports mode or manual mode...
