    Idle EGR sounds right, it decreases as the demand for O2 increases, but I can vouch for the fact the car runs way smoother and just fine without it!

    That's some very interesting information there, I've already put it to good use with the help of Gavin.

    On the EGR adaptation though, this thread would suggest that there is no way to do this through VCDS on a mk5.

    Just curious with that DPF sensor adaptation, after the 30605 login code is accepted, is that the end of the procedure? Does it just adapt while the car is driven around? I was a little confused as I thought acceptance of login code just meant I've logged in, it doesn't say anything about adaptation.

    Its not a login code its a Coding II code. You just need to enter it then turn the ignition off for 30 seconds.
