readerr0r: Whilst all that you say in your post is perfectly logical, the values that I got from my Polo 6R are very different. I assume that your screen shot came from a different version of the Polo 6R to mine (mine is a 77TSI comfortline with comfort pack and reverse sensors - my14). But I don't think that this matters for the purpose of this discussion.

Anyhow, my Polo has DRLs active (I think they are a second set of filaments in the low-beam lamps). I haven't done any tweaks on the vehicle yet - it's brand new (I've only read the module controllers and taken screen shots). The default values on my Polo for Byte 23 are as shown below:

As you can see, Bit 6 is not ticked, but I can assure you that DRLs are activate on my Polo. I appologise for the impertinence of the following question, but have you actually tried to deactivate the DRLs on your car by getting rid of the tick on Bit 6? If so, did it actually work? The reason that I ask is because I want to de-activate DRLs on my Polo but clearly I can't do this through toggling the status of bit 6 (on my car).

    Channel 09 Brake Assist
There are 3 settings for this
    0-center (stock setting)
    1-small
    2-hard

Realised setting 2 Hard actually makes the brake more progressive and better in modulation. Small setting actually makes it bite more exponatially and brake assist come in harder. This is contrary to what many have reported here. Kindly clarify it.

Polo 6R Long Coding Sequence for 09-Cent. Elect. module

From various sources, I've been trying to put together an excel table of what appears to be the main control module in the Polo 6R (i.e. Cent, Elect. module). I've also included in the table the default bit values for my car (77TSI). Thought (hoped) that it might be useful to others, but the only way that I can post it is as a pic (too big to post as a text table). Apology for the size, but it is (just) readable if you click on the image twice then click again to enlarge the pic. PM if anyone wants an excel file version.

    09: Cent. Elect. (J519)

    Coding: 64B02B2F08A10000013808002D2B0ED100C0410F6006000020 0000000000

Needle Sweep on Polo 6R - VCDS Tweak

    thanks!
achilles6R: Here's how I activated the needle sweep function on my Polo 6R. I used a genuine Ross Tech cable HEX+CAN (USB version) and Beta SW (14.6.1), but I suspect that the current VCDS release SW (12.12.2) will work too. Please be aware that the latest RT software is not fully compatible with the 6R platform (it's mainly an issue with the long coding incorrectly displaying the status of the controller bits). Sebastian at Ross Tech says that he is aware of the problem and that it's still a work in progress. That said, the software is sufficiently compliant to be able to do (most) tweaks -including this one.

Needle Sweep on Polo 6R - VCDS Tweak

    1. Select the installed controllers page from the main Ross Tech screen

    2. Click 17-Instruments from the control module list

    3. Click on Adaptation-10 tab

    4. Click on the pull-down channel tab and select indicator_celebration (it's about 80% down the channel list)

    5. Select Active in the "New Value" box and click Do It! tab
    6. Click Add to Log and save a copy of the change report
    7. Click Go Back tab and exit the VCDS software

    That's it!
This is a whimsical tweak - it's fun to watch the needles dance when the ignition is turned-on (well.... perhaps fun for the first couple dozen times)!

    Hi Everyone.

I am wondering if anyone might be available in Sydney or surrounds to code out the bluetooth touch adapter in my '14 6R. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,

Just a heads up regarding Auto door locking My father nearly died because of this Car got hit heavily on R front corner smashing the module that locked the doors. Doors remained locked and they were unable to get him out for some time. Luckily he didnt have really serious injuries. Yes I know doors are supposed to unlock on impact but can you be sure. I deactivated that on my Passat.
