Anyone available this coming Sunday - 30/09/2012?

    Hey guys,

Anyone available with a controller to change these settings this weekend?
    I can provide alcohol =).

    PM please.

    Thanks!

In VCDS Select Control Module, go to 03 ABS Brakes, then 10 Adaptation, go to Channel:

    Channel 09 Brake Assist
There are 3 settings for this
    0-center (stock setting)
    1-small
    2-hard

The stock setting is 0, change it to 2 and this makes the brake pedal more responsive to smaller inputs. Feels more positive in use, especially under enthusiastic motoring.

    Channel 36 XDS
    There are 3 settings
    0-center (stock setting)
    1-weak
    2-strong

Change this from 0 to 2 and this one mod alone apparently makes the Polo into a different/better beast under hard driving.

To deactivate the touchscreen warning, first make sure your phones BT is off. It'll reject the coding if its connected to something.
Load up VCDS -> Select Control module -> 77 - Telephone
In Telephone go select coding and enter...

To deactivate A2DP (which stops the iPhone cutting out on MDI) and touchscreen warning enter this code instead.

    Hey There,

Just like to if by removing the BT Touchscreen, have you also removed the actual cradle for it from your dash? If so how did you go about it? It looks bloody ugly just sitting there!

    Cheers,

    T

    Hey mate,

Could I ask what kind of LED parking lights you have installed? Have you had any issues with a lamp fault warning?

No I've had the cradle sitting there with the touch unit out since I've bought it. I don't really notice it at all. You can put a phone specific Bury System 9 unit in there for charging and better phone reception if you like.

Hmm... regarding this - I bought a Bury system 9 dock for Galaxy S3.
Since I took out the standard small lcd unit - it asks to put it back in before the phone can work (on the MFD display).

Does the above enable me to use the phone with my new dock?
Just want to ensure I have the right instructions before I find someone else with VCDS!

So basically I want to replace the standard LCD unit with my dock and have my phone still able to work via bluetooth on the MFD.

    Thanks
    Rolls

I have to agree with you on this but im lead to believe that if you were able to remove the cradle it would leave a reasonably large hole in your dash.. which is less than ideal

This is not normally done as it can lead to an overabundance of stale air which may cause sleepiness.

I did read in a manual where you shouldnt run with this setting for long periods for that reason.

    I'd personally recommend this:

    From here:

Ross-Tech Store: VCDS License with HEX-USB+CAN Interface

And it plugs in just above your right shin when you're sitting in the driver's seat (it's a pretty pink port on my GTI :/):

Just enabled the self-locking function and tweaked the Brake Assist and XDS settings (thanks Gavs & readerr0r for providing valuable info!)
Polo GTI MY13 (CTHE) | 5D | CW | Sunroof | DL Tint | VW Handy Adapter for iPhone 4/4S | DHL disabled
VCDS tweaks: XDL - Strong | Brake Assist - Hard | Auto Lock Doors/Hatch - On | Two Stage Unlock - On | Audible Locking - On | Lane Change Function - 4 flashes
