    Obdeleven is a play on the visual representation of ‘OBDII’ - it looks like an ‘eleven’ (11). It’s just clever marketing. The Obdeleven dongle uses the obd2 port, as do a myriad of other obd2 compliant devices.

    what makes obdeleven unique is its coding abilities through the smarts of the app (and presumably some unique hardware in the dongle)

    I’m 110% happy with the obdeleven kit that I got through AutoInstruct.
    Cheers

    Thanks doc

    I used my generic wifi dongle and Carista (iOS) and managed to see some faults(surprised) and modify a few parameters, but none that I really wanted(traffic mainly)

    I was happy to spend the money just to be able to get rid of the nag screen on the nag

    All the other changes i’ve made are just a bonus.

    Best change for me - setting the 4 motion system to “increased traction” on my Alltrack.
    Cheers

    How to get iner headlights to be on with DRL lights?

    Much appreciate any help!
    I think this is how you display the speed limit using OBdeleven

    Traffic Sign Assist Activation (Car must be fitted with Camera)
    Vehicle camera will read traffic signs and display the posted speed in the cluster.

    Select Control unit 5F (Information Electrical)
    Adaptation
    Select channel (63) vehicle function list BAP traffic_sign_recognition_0x21
    Değer=Active
    Select channel (151) vehicle menu operation-menu_display_road_sign_identification
    Değer=Active
    Select channel (153) vehicle menu operation-menu_display_road_sign_identification_over_thresho ld_high
    Değer=Active
    Control unit A5 (front / advance camera)
    Security access
    Access Code 20103
    Control unit Long Coding
    Byte 1
    Bit 0 Activate – “01 Traffic Sign Recognition (FTE) active”
    Select Control unit 17 (Dashboard)
    Control unit Long Coding
    Byte 5
    Bit 2 Aktivate
    Control unit A5 (front / advance camera)
    Adaptation
    Select : channel numbers indicate end of speed limit
    Importance to actively invest Show Valid suffix
    View Channel Valid suffix
    Corresponding value adjust default: 00100111

    Just ordered my OBDeleven from AutoInstruct. Excited to receive it and start poking around. Got a plan for what I'm going to do first. Thanks to all the people and forums that helped me identify what I wanted to do.

    1. Improve Turbo Lag

    • Module: 44 - Steering Assist
    • Security code 19249 Adaptations: Driving profile switchover
    • Switch ‘Incremental, controlled over time’ to 'Direct; controlled over threshold value'

    2. Improve Traction

    • Control Unit: 22 All Wheel Control
    • Acoustic Measure, Wiring Logic
    • Change from Standard to Increased Traction

    3. Set XDS to Weak

    • STG 03 (ABS)
    • STG Adjustment -> Function 10
    • Select: Expanded Electronic Differential Lock
    • Options: Weak, Normal, Hard -> Set to Weak

    I'm curious on the settings you're wanting to change

    How does something in steering-assistance module, affect turbo lag?
    What does this setting do exactly?

    Why do you want it weaker than the standard setting?

    The 1st mod is a throttle mod, the 2nd is a diff setting (PP or R) and the 3rd is to let the diff do the work not the abs/brakes.

    The xdl on strong feels way better imo, but I understand that the diff doesn't do much work when xdl is strong.

    For me the modifications I am interested in are all about improving drivability (IMO). Sharpening throttle response, increasing drive to the rear and reducing the amount of braking used by the XDL will help me get a little more out of my car. If I don't like it, I will just revert the changes one at a time to find my preferred settings

    I realise that - I was questioning how something in steering can affect throttle?

    I guess that is a question for VW . I made the change this morning in Module 44 Steering Assistance. Got to say, the change is very subtle.
