Meaningful VCDS measured values

hello to All,
Does anyone know just where I can get specific values or desired range of values for my Audi A4B8 and Mk6 gti ( both petrol).
My VCDS gives me lots of interesting numbers but I have nothing to reference them too.
The A4B8 has lost the VCDS Measuring Blks ( due to the UDS protocol), leaving me with Advanced Meas Blks, but again without any reference material.
I have posted on other sites but it appears most VCDS users are asking lots of questions about DTC`s ( understandably so), but little in relation preventative diagnostics.

Is everyone just forking out big bucks to buy VCDS so as to change the tone of the door chimes and impress their mum....????

I just ordered mine with the intent of diagnostic problem solving. The Bentley Manual has some good information on the scan tool, but this would be another step to problem solving that used to be done on older cars with the eyes, ears and nose. In saying that any library of data would be welcome.
