2015 GSW tdi wiring damage causing CP active, muting radio. Not sure how to proceed. Car auctioned by Philly VW dealer to local used car dealer, dumped on Ebay. I paid 12K for it with undisclosed wiring problems. VAG says dealers are independent, can do what they want with these cars. Trip to VW dealer here in Iowa: can't remove CP, wants to do "explorative surgery" to find and fix wiring damaged by rodents at 120/hr with no guarantees CP removal can happen. Need to know why the onboard diagnostic system can't specify where the wiring problem is, and why bad wiring is causing a CP active when it was designed to prevent parts changes and theft. Can CP be removed entirely? The interior lights do not work. Is that likely the source of the CP?
