    Interested thread!

I just fitted a 9W7 unit to my '09 R36 Passat, everything is working and can view all necessary data on the RNS, and the white MFD shows my iphone status BUT, I can't actually scroll into my contacts/call register on the MFD via the steering wheel buttons?

It is strange because if the phone rings, the MFD displays that there is a call coming in, and whether I want to answer or not, but when I try and answer via the steering wheel the buttons aren't recognised.

Everything else can be accessed via the MFD, vehicle data, convenience, nav etc.

Is there something steering wheel related I haven't enabled in VCDS?

Take a look at the last byte under Telephone channel, but also look at the Steering Wheel channel and select adaptation. The hints should help you select the right button combo.

It is the standard steering wheel on there atm, although I will be fitting a Golf R wheel in a month or so.

From what you've said, it would appear that my steering wheel isn't set up correctly to access the phone data being displayed on the MFD?
Like I said, it all displays perfectly, when I miss a call it displays that on the MFD, but I can't manipulate the 'view missed call' [yes] or [no] etc.

Ok, my 9W7 will not allow me to change the 'Soft Coding' and in the '77 - Telephone' simply says 'Long Coding'.

My default '77- Recode Module' inside is '0200000000010110', does this look like the standard 9W7 Bluetooth long code?

    The model I have is the '7P6 035 730 D' H05 0440

Doesn't make sense as the code has too many digits and cannot be entered as a result?

Actually on second look, it looks similar to my character length?

Anyone confirm or deny a similar experience?
