Manually using the odometer and clock buttons. Instructions should be in your owners manual. The cheapest VCDS cable will do it as well.

What does your book say? (I can't even recall it was in the owners manual of the Octavia). I did work out how to do it (reset it from variable to fixed accidently while stuffing about with it) & wrote it down in my service manual for the "technicians" at the dealership. Waste of time as they still forgot to do it. I dragged the service manager out to the car & showed him how.

As the others said, you can do it with (even set up whatever service schedule you want) with a VCDS cable.

Well I got it to reset, by pressing and turning the odometer button like the book says. It just wasn't clear until I next started the car that I had in fact reset it. So it can be done!

I'm really surpised to hear that an owner can do it that way. Usually it's got to be done at the workshop (or with a VCDS cable at least).

On the Superb MFD it is resettable by the owner. I was surprised also as it is usually a dealer only function.

You can reset it on a Commodore.......
