So the Forge pod filter was more restrictive than the stock inlet and filter?

I'm impressed that your stock tyres held up for so long.

Great to see a little car getting worked like this

Nice. Pity I can't get the heated seats in the soon to be my new Fabia vRS. Was told this is not a factory option! Not happy.
Try playing with the balance of air in/out - have you got the right exhaust to go with your new intake? (did this to an old Saab some yrs ago and got a 30% increase in output). Lkg fwd to my options for the Skoda

    Stock power
As you can see the figures look to be spot on. 179.7Hp/257NM (189 lbft). These are bang on what you would expect of a stock car, although bare in mind my car is not stock and has the IC/Rad and DP, so if anything the rollers were reading low.

What a great read, very impressedwith your efforts and thanks...

I am new to this site and have a couple of queries if you don't mind.

Are you still with APR (sorry only on Page 2 atm) and are you still happy?
No long term issues as yet?

The statement above (from page 2!) sounds about right considering that the stock factory claim is 250nm but that is a flywheel figure.

Again it appears to be a very cool example of an excellent vehicle and if our Skoda Fabia RS Hatch can get even close to that I will be very happy. Brand new to Australia, our example is around 2 months old but we are on the way to great 'Bang for your Bucks' happiness.

    Cheers Stephen

Briskoda.net has info on this and the XDL reset
Can you please post a link to the "Briskoda.net" Ballast Info??

    Can't find it...
Also what is XDL reset again?

This is way out of date now. Lots of things have happened since this was last updated.

The most upto date build thread is here >>>Click me<<< The briskoda thread is littered with chat, but has loads of info in it. Thats linked on my sig. Feel free to join up and ask on there. Its easier than me havuing to answer loads of threads on different forums.

In summary the mod list is now
    • Lots of chassis work has been done.
    • Loads mre engine mds have been sorted more recently.
    • Engine lost compression and needed new pistons to fix it due to failed piston rings.
    • Car shoul be finished this weekend.

    Current spec is as follows:
    • 1.4TSI
    • LOBA LO270 turbo
    • Wossner Pistons
    • Pace Products Intercooler and radiator
    • VWRacing Downpipe mated to stock cat back exhaust
    • VWRacing Intake
    • Braille lightweight battery
    • OKADA coilpacks
    • Devils Own Water Methanol Injection
    • APR Stage 3 calibration
    • Super Pro poly bushed chassis
    • H&R front and rear ARBs
    • VWRacing springs
    • Rear ballast weights removed
    • Tarox 6 pot 323mm brake kit
    • 17" TD1.2 lightweight alloys

Ive not driven it in absolute ages as ive been in Afghanistan. APR are delivering it to me tomorrow.

    Cool mate... thank you.

Sent you a message about the ballast but really enjoyed the story so far. So I am sure there will be more to come. Sorry to hear about the Pistons and I hope you were ok in Afghanistan. Thank you for your efforts if you are in the armed forces.
