    Delayed delivery sadness

Was notified today that Skoda have delayed production of my Fabia vRS wagon until Jan 2013, with delivery kit not due til March sometime. Will make it almost a 7 month delay. Is this just VW group policy? Not happy jan!

Geez...that's unlucky. What colour/options did you order? I am sure Gold Coast Skoda has a couple of wagons. They have 4 hatches from what I saw today.

Sunroof. Prefer grey with black wheels. Sunroof is important. Skoda had said 15 Jan, so March is only about 6 weeks later. Issue seems to be Skoda (somewhere) reallocating manufacture to another market, so instead of building car in Oct 2012, they offer a 2013 with a production start late Jan. More slack customer management by VW Group as far as I can see.

The black wagon at the Syd Motorshow had a sunroof....

Is it the Steel Grey you have ordered?

Goldy Skoda has Grey, silver wheels and no sunroof. Not what you were after though.

i had a 5 month wait for my factory order vRS.
5 months was good back then.
7 months is no surprise & "normal" for VAG.

if u have to wait 12 months plus - then yes, it's bad!!

Got a call from Northshore Skoda today to confirm that they now think delivery might be end Feb 13. That would be good. Kudos to the dealer for keeping me in the loop.

Woohoo! Northside confirmed today eta to Customs 23/2/13, and delivery likely 1st week of March. This is good news. Now I just need someone who would like my Saab 9^3...

Must be really exciting . I was able to track the progress of my vehicle from when it was loaded on the ship in Germany and I have to say the hardest part was the wait from when it arrived at the docks until I had it in my hands. It was such a loong wait! The days just dragged on and on.

I'm sure you'll really enjoy having it though.

Apparently the boats finally arrived, but delayed a couple of days. Doesn't look like I'll have the car in time for the Canberra DY long weekend, but hopefully soon after that....
