Wrinkles on the interior door trim

Hi notice that my interior door trim (about where i rest my elbow) has squeezed up now i have 3 or 4 little hills on the top of my interior door panel. This happened in my Octavia as well.... anyone got any bright suggestions, apart from replacing the door trim, getting an upholstery dude to look at it (which i have.. $200 to fix it).. anyone know of perhaps a chromed curved piece of metal or something that can be placed over the bulges?

Any suggestions ?? (keep it clean )

    cheers

Dont rest your arm on the door is the easiest fix. Also the safest as it allows your arms to move more freely.

Yes thank you Hillbilly I used that point of my elbow to illustrate where the problem was. In both my cars, this had happened prior to me purchasing the car......

Got a photo at all? I might have an idea or two but would be good to have a little clearer picture.

Happened on my old Octavia as well as I'm a bit of an elbow rester as well.
I did read up that it's quite common and in some cases (mine) occurs at relatively low mileage.
