Why are there so many low KM superbs for sale???

    Hey all,

I went on carsales to check out Superbs, (esp the V6AWD models), and I found so many for sale with under 10,000kms

I find it strange that so many would be up for sale with such low kms.

Have the owners disliked the cars? ...have they had problems?....

I can understand perhaps 30,000 or 40,000 kms...but lower just seems strange...

Most of those are dealer demos. As many of us have suspected, Skoda encouraged the dealers to register their demo to boost up the sales figure. Now it's time to get rid of them.

I'm a superb owner. I am very happy with it in every way. I will sell it however, at the end of the lease, planning to get another Superb. The people I'll most likely to sell the car to will be my parents. They've been in my car several times and they are so happy with it that they've already reserved it.

Don't let those DSG opposers say DSG is the reason. If it is, VW will not double it's sale in 2 years

    I totally agree.
I use to believe in the DSG myth, I think those who have experienced failures are those who have not had their cars serviced correctly and have fluids changed.

Pity there are no manual Superbs in Australia - rules it out for me.

As is quite normal, there are some dealer demos and some ex-Skoda cars, some of which are exec driven. I have just traded my Octavia vRS wagon in on one. Has only 3000kms on the clock. Literally its new. Skoda usually moves its exec cars about 7,000kms, as do most makers. Have a look and see the number of other makes cars with v low kms. BMW also use this ruse to get people into cars. They tell you that we the standard model1/3/5/7/X?? model will take 9 mths to order, but sir, we can sell you this 1,000kms old demo with $8/12/15 k of vastly overpriced extras for at least $X off Bargain!

So they claim depreciation etc then sell you a pricey car with extras you didn't necessarily want but is a bargain!

So, for me, this is the sort of car I buy, where the maker/dealer has amortised the intial depreciation, i get an almost new car cheaply and we're all happy.

BTW, love the Superb, brilliant car and great value. Other than the badge, makes some pricey Euros look sparse and uninteresting, and as for the Aussie cars, well, absolutely no comparison.
