    Superb outdoor tdi performance

My octavia Rs tdi is off the road awaiting a replacement turbo boost sensor and in the mean time the dealer has registered a 2014 build superb outdoor as a loan car. I have found that it takes quite a bit of effort (virtually have to floor it) to get it going. Is this normal for these cars? Or does it get better as it 'runs in'?

Haven't driven an rs tdi, but used to own an rs tsi before we bought our outdoor.
I know it's not a really fair comparison, but the 147 tsi is night and day difference to the 125 tdi in the outdoor. The superb feels like an absolute slug compared to the octavia , I was expecting the 125 tdi to be a bit better performer. No you aren't imagining things, you do have to prod the **** out of it if you want it to go, I imagine the extra weight and the 4wd blunt the urge a bit compared to the rs tdi. Ours is quite heavy on fuel too around town and I don't drive particularly aggressively in it, there's no point/reward. New superb with 206 tsi sounds the **** though.......

now the car has 2500km on it the motor has loosened up a bit and performs a lot better, I am thinking as they never did a PDI on it before lending it to me because at 500km on the dot it transformed. still not a patch on the octavia but better and can be heavy around town, not too bad on the highway. above 2000rpm it gets up and goes quite well.

Yeah definitely better with some revs on, roll on performance is quite surprising on occasions. This is my first auto car, so I think a bit of it for me was learning how to drive a dsg properly, so it's in the right gear and not 'lagging' when you put your foot down while the dsg decides what gear it should be in. Having it in 's' helps with that alot.

Anyone had their ECU flashed? Wondering if that would make these a much better proposition? Still a few demo ones around 5-8000 kms.
