Pre Purchase question

Howdy,

I'm going to look at a Superb MY13 (Build 9/12) tomorrow. 1.8L petrol, 7sp DSG.

I've read about the problems with the 1.8L engines...

Has anyone had problems here with those guys?

Is there anything else I should be looking out for?

The engine is good if the timing chain tensioner is the latest revision.

The 7 speed gearbox is rubbish - especially if used in heavy traffic a lot.

It needs to be very cheap to make it worthwhile.

Buy a diesel or a V6. What you save in repairs you can spend on fuel
