    Kessy

    HI everyone,
Just wondering for those with KESSY, has anyone been getting a hit and miss response when trying to open the doors?

Sometimes, maybe 1 in 5 times I go to open the door, it doesn't pick up the action of my hand. I have noticed though that each time this has happened my keys have been in the same pocket, or in close proximity to my iphone. It is just being enough of a distraction to make me think about taking it back to the dealers to test out.

    Your input would be appreciated

Have you tried the second key to see if the response is the same? My experience with KESSY is that to be 100% effective, you actually have to make contact with the body of the car, in the case of unlocking you brush your knuckes against the paintwork as you wrap your fingers around the handle. For locking, you touch a finger to the small depression in the handle, same here, just waving your hand past it doesn't always work.

I'll give that a go and see what happens. My action when going to the car to date doesn't involve touching the body work.

I presume that the KESSY works on some sort of RFID system in which case I guess its possible that if the iPhone is doing one of it's "phone home" sequences then it may be overpowering the radio signal from the key transponder.

BTW did you see the other day that somebody discovered that iPhones record your geographic location up to 100 times per day for no obvious reason. The data is sorted in plain text in your iPhone back up files apparently.
