The wifes Superb just had its 15,000km service and when it went in, it was showing less than 1000km of travel time left before the Adblue ran out. During the service they put in 3L (apparently that's all they had), and it was still showing a warning to put more in (3000km of travel remaining) or something.
Tonight I topped it right up to 100%, but it is hard to know what amount to put in. Sure the warning says something like "minimum 4L, maximum 7L" or something like that - but I wanted to know if there was a more precise way of filling it up.
Enter VCDS. Unfortunately I didn't think to take the screen shots until after I had already filled it up - but you get the idea.
Load VCDS and select the Control Module
Select 01-Engine
Select Adv. Meas. Values (Advanced Measure Values)
In the search box that comes up - type "level" and you want the Reducing agent fill level one.
As you can see above I filled it to just 101%.
I had VCDS running and the ignition on (just on accessories) and added the Adblue. Checked the value, added more as required. Rinse | Repeat. When I put the first 1L in, it was +5%. However towards the end, it was less than 1 cup worth and it went from 97% to 101%. So I'd say it's a weird shaped tank.
But if you want to fill it right up to the top (without dramatically overfilling) - this is how you can do it and know exactly how much you're putting in.
