Thanks for the quick reply. If I lived in Sydney I wouldn't even consider a Superb, let alone a V6 Petrol engine. Even in my narrow one-way street it can be tricky getting in and out of my drive. Except for the hills getting out of Wollongong, I do have quick access to country roads. 2 sets of traffic lights between here and Canberra; that is 2 too many! I do intend to take the car up Macquarie Pass as soon as the maintenance on the road is done. I will compare the times and speeds (but not fuel consumption) with the Audi. Even senior citizens are entitled to their speed fix and with the pass it is all about smoothness and corner speed. And yes, I do ride motor bikes as well!
