The "new" bit's the gearbox with AWD, not the engine, isn't it? 140bhp is approx 103kw. Although I don't think they've done AWD hatch before? Octy and Superb are larger than Yeti.
Interesting to note that the yeti undercuts them for price and has AWD anyway, however it is a bit on the ugly side and has a different purpose/target market.Skoda is gearing up for winter. The Czech firm has added a new four-wheel drive 140bhp 2.0 TDI diesel engine with DSG transmission to hatchback and estate versions of the Superb, Octavia Estate and Octavia Scout.
The new cars are available to order now, with prices starting at £21,705 for the four-wheel-drive Octavia estate, £22,935 for the Superb hatch and £24,230 for the Superb Estate.
The four-wheel-drive system sends 96 per cent of the power to the front wheels in normal conditions, with a Haldex clutch redirecting more to the rear wheels when the going gets slippery.

The superb here is AWD if you get the spec'd up one isn't it?
Could be interesting to put the AWD system into an Octavia RS.

Brilliant Silver Octavia Scout 2010
The 140hp AWD and DSG is what we will be getting in the new Scout which has never previously had an auto trans.
Skoda did have an AWB wagon here when they released their cars but dropped it for the Scout. I can't see the AWD hatch coming here as it's really designed for the European driving on snow in the winter market and unless Skoda Aus want to really go head to head with Subaru there would really be no point it having it in Australia.
Likewise I can't really see the benefit in Aus of a budget AWD Superb sedan.
