Is it a 7Speed DSG? Basically the oil used in the 7speed is quite thin so noises are sometimes heard, if you take it to your dealer it's all their gonna say.
I noticed something worrying on my Superb the other day. The DSG sounds rough on down changes between 4th and 3rd. Not quite a shudder but a noisy down change. Doesn't appear to happen with other gears. Should i be worried? The car is a MY13 (late 2012 build) so it should have the updated mechatronics unit (right?). Any pointers for what else to look for would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yep its the 7speed dsg. I was hoping that someone might have a similar experience. I'll try the dealer too.

I've got the six speed DSG in my Deisel and an identical car to yours. I don't hear a thing with my car but I've been told Skoda put a bit more sound deadening in Deisels so that they appear quiet (Removing the Deisel chatter). So I can't hear a thing. Keep an eye on it. Make sure you mention this at your next service so it's recorded.
Update on this: I decided to take a look at the incident closely and have found that it occurs when the revs drop while slowing. It seems that there might not be a problem. I'll get the dealer to take a look when i get it in next but there may not be as big a problem as i initially thought.
