    Dealer servicing?

Since this likely to be last service before warranty expires late this year thought I'd best get it done at a Skoda dealer service Centre rather than the VAG specialist who have serviced it previously. Shocked at the quoted price I decided to at least supply my own oil. Left them a 5 litre container which I find completely empty when I get the car home and a dipstick measuring quite a bit over the MAX mark. Should I be too concerned about an engine spec'd for 4.6 liters which appears to have had 5 liters tipped into it?

If it was ME I wouldn't be too worried.

That being said you're well within your right to go back there and demand they rectify the oil level at no cost to you (pointing out the engine cap quote: "Overfilled engine oil can damage catalytic converter".

And they wonder why people are avoiding dealer servicing like the plague these days!!!

And does the engine seriously take 4.6 litres of oil? 2.0L TSI?

I took it back to them this morning and they removed surplus oil. Even gave me the few hundred mill. of excess oil back! Had it been an oil burner would not have bothered however in 17,000kms I have not needed to add any oil between changes.
