Dash Mat for Skoda Superb

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a new Skoda Superb (Current Series) and I'm chasing a dash mat. I've searched high and low. Most Autobarn's / Super Cheaps etc don't carry them or even have them listed in referance books. I've tried searching the web to no avail. I live in Melbourne. Can anyone help or make any suggestions? Not happy with Auto shops lack of knowledge or supply of accessories for the Skoda. One salesman asked me if I imported the car myself!!!!!!

His knowledge of cars must be real good!!!!!!

You might have a problem finding one. If you look in the manual, the passenger side front airbag would end up being covered by a typical dash mat.

To be honest, I haven't used one for a long time. They tend to be a pain to keep attached to the dash properly and modern dashes are not as reflective as they were 10-15 years ago. Also, a good quality interior protectant and a sun shade will help protect the plastics and vinyl.

I did a Google search for Skoda Superb Dashmat and there were plenty listed. Here's one:

SHEVRON DASH MATS : ALL...

The thing about the passenger side air bag is that you cannot stick it down at the front. The mat has to be free to lift, but this is not an issue.

I got my Caddy dashmat about a year ago from them.

Thanks. I also did this via google search but when you hit the "Contact Us" on their web pages and ask if they have one in stock the standard reply is "No we don't carry them for the Superb. We do have a pattern for the Octavia though" I probably missed this company so I will make an enquiry with them. Thanks for the hyperlink.

I've had dash mats before on my Liberty's and the cars looked like new when sold. I know dash's are made from better materials today but the auzzie sun can burn through almost anything. Cheers

I have just traded my 4 yo Octavia. The car has alway been parked outside day and night. It has never had any covering on the dash, or treatment or even regular cleaning, and was as new when I traded it. In fact, the paint and other materials on my car were as good as new once cleaned up. My new SUperb has a different type of vinyl, a grained material that looks and feels more like Rhino hide. I hope it lasts as well.

My experience is that most new cars's interiors last really well now, even without regular care and bing fussy, which I am not any longer. i just use my car and have it serviced these days.
