Superb news! Although my model is fractionally different, i can understand why it won.

    Certainly worth cheering about.

Couldn't agree more, good work guys! I still question the Jetta winning best medium car though...

After reading through the results for the under $50k medium car category, the Jetta only won because of higher handling, smoothness and ride scores. It also scored better for standard features. The other reason the Jetta scored better and won was because of it's diesel engine being both efficient and having good performance.

This category is historically fiercly competitive, and this can be seen in the results - there really wasn't much between the top 5 or 6 cars.

I wonder how the results would have looked if they'd taken the Jetta 147TSI and RS TSI into account as well....

Hopefully the above average weighing for depreciation will start to decrease with a few more wins like this.

I remember my first Skoda was claimed by my lease company to be a bad financial move, as it wont hold its value... And as the popularity grew and name for the Octavia vRS became a strong one, the value increased. I noticed for 18 months Redbook didnt change the price, which generally is the indicator that the market has accepted the vehicles core values.
I'm not concerned as the value of vehicles will be shown in good time.

And K1W1 your dead on mate with the weighting in the reviews around the Superb are just getting stronger in its favour.
