Checked in with Lennock Skoda today.. and after 611km, it was down by 1.7 litres of oil. They are speaking to Skoda about it and what their recommendations will be..... stay tuned... if you are not already bored with my story.

Quote for a rebuild from Skoda is in at $8951. The company that has to pay for it under warranty are starting to squirm... trying all sorts of ways to get out of it... even saying that my car has now done 5,200 km since they sold it to me and its not covered anymore. But I have proof that I started this process with Skoda dealer in late Dec - Early Jan when it had only done around 1,500 km... Also they are saying that can get it done cheaper in Melbourne, so they may want the car shipped back to Melb for repairs.... sounds like just one big nightmare............... ** sigh **

How's the repairs going? Hopefully the disappearing coolant issue gets resolved at the same time.

but sadly not full of oil after 5000km... needed a litre or so... rang the dealer... was told that i should expect a little oil usage before the first service... so does that also apply to a new car? Does a new car use a litre of oil before the first service? I dont think so... any one have any thoughts? I have emailed the dealer in writing with my concerns..... guess we will see at the first service...
