Wiring AUX cable from head unit

    Hey guys,

Just installed an AUX kit to my MK5 Golf , and just wondering where you guys wired your cables through ?

Right now, I popped out the Blank Space Under the Hazards Light, but I'm scared if I turn the heater on, it'll melt/damage the cord (I'm not actually sure if air flows through there yet)

But here's a photo of the setup for now.

What are some bette alternatives that dont involve cutting/drilling into my interiors. (Glove box method isn't great as I don't want to drive with my gloev box open, and if it's closed, the cables get squashed/damaged)

    Any helps appreciated, cheers !

On my mk v I routed the cord down to the ashtray and found it fitted through a corner of it. I always left it open as it was the right place for a few things , so never bothered me about closing it.
The lid would still close just needed a bit more pressure to latch with the cord coiled up in it.
