    Wireless Rear Camera

I got a wireless rear camera for my mk5 Golf.

I will figure out mounting it and running through rear bumper ok....BUT I am not sure what wire to draw the power from.

The reverse light bulb in the doesn't seem to have the wire colour in the diagram so tracking it coming up is hard.
There should be a brown neutral and a black/blue power wire for the reverse but I can't seem to locate it.

    Anyone have any ideas ?

Also any tips on repairing the washer fluid line going to the back incase someone cut it thinking wire were inside - asking for a friend

You’ll need to pull back the boot trimming on the left hand side of the vehicle. You’ll find a bunch of nested cables

it should be a white wire from the lamp housing to pin 3 of a 5 pin connector and then the wire out of the connector should be black and blue.

    good luck.

Just from experience mounting a reverse camera in my wifes amarok - try and get it as high as you can or you end up with no perspective of distance.

I just cant picture the diameter of the pipe but could try those sharkbite style push fit hose fittings something like these 5mm Tubing Union Tee, 5mm Push in Fittings, 5mm Air Fittings - but just a 2 way joiner. or jam each side into a slightly larger diameter pipe - might need to heat the new section up to allow it to stretch a bit to really jam the cut pipes in - dont let your "friend" near your car with tools again
