I spent 3 days detailing mine the other week, 5 hours is a walk in the park.

I put off badging the grill for a while, I was thinking of having no badge and filing off the plastic slots so it wasn't obvious where a badge should be, but I gave in as I think a badge finishes off the grill nicely.

Buy a GTI grill badge and remove the letters from it then just glue your own badge onto the backing plate, problem solved.

replaced the fuel filter today - easy even with standard jack and screwdriver. Should be done every 30-40,000kms so do it guys ! I pured what appeared to be dark brown fuel sediment all over the driveway. Should pull up the performance and economy. Also its a revised part with 6.6bar as opposed to the original 6.4bar item (revised)
