I am a bit passionate about this, the dealer does not deserve to have a sticker there unless you think that they are providing a reasonable service. In the case of our MKV, I advised the dealer that I was not interested in their stickers or number plate surrounds on the basis that my Volkswagen was not a billboard for their branding. They understood and no stickers were applied.
The main reason I object beyond above, is that they use a bad and large font generally making the whole gesture garish.
I dont really have issue with a dealer putting the stuff on when you buy the car so long as it is easily removable. Which is what I have done on my GTI. Its really not the end of the world.
For some reason I took great offense at two different mechanics putting their sticker on my mk3 VR6 especially when neither of them were responsible for bringing the car up to the standard that it was at. Perhaps if they had have asked me if I mind the sticker was put on I may have agreed. But to do it without asking was just rude. I never actually said anything to them though. Just peeled it off the next day.
One of our local dealers, Tynans, has franchises for a dozen or so brands. They have a generic Tynan badge which matches none of the OEM factory badges.
They hire badge fitting specialists who are cross-eyed & take great pride in fitting the badges so that they align with nothing else in the vicinity and have no appearance of integration with the surrounding badges.
In addition, based on family experience, they will still fit the badges even if you ask for them not to be fitted. Thankfully they come off with some dental floss & thinners.
In the '60s there used to be a Chevy dealer in Sydney - STACK. They would drill holes in the car & rivet their badges on.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
The salesman knew that I was pretty pedantic as I'd already made sure that when the tint went on that they didn't put the little round T stickers under it that indicates the tint percentage. Not a single sticker, number plate surround or anything on the whole car just as I wanted it.
LOL! Now there's a newsflash
Sorry Mav, dropping bait like that is deserving of a bite
As for badges and stickers...rip em off!
What I did to my Golf today? I took some new pics of my LED tail lights in action. I'll post them in the "tail light advice for GTI" thread later on.
