LOL..It is lowered (pedders springs) and I wouldn't want to go lower as already have some places around here where it bottoms out over driveways etc.

    Nice job!
Looks like the fog/reverse swap went well - was it difficult?
    Was there any VAG-Com involved?
And where did you source the lights? How expensive were they?

    Gazed at it lovingly.

I'm also marveling at the fact that I've owned the car two weeks and not one bird has shat on it.

Not difficult as such. Just time consuming. The back of the lens housing is easily removed as it is screwed on, not plastic welded like some. Lenses aren't a straight swap over and require some surgery to get them to sit in right place on opposite sides. It took me around 2 hours, lots of experimenting, drilling new locating holes and head scratching before I realised the only way it would fit was by dragging out the jigsaw and cutting off the original locating ring on the lenses . This leaves just enough plastic left to enable it to be sandwiched in position between the taillight housing and lens cover. Sounds extreme but does the job perfectly. If I had to do it again I reckon it would take 5 mins a side to change over the lenses.

The main bodies are direct bolt in but I had to remove a plastic adjustment plug of some sort on each side to allow it to sit in position properly.

In regards to the electrical side of things it is purely plug and play, no VAG- Com required.

I'm keeping where I got them quiet for moment as I'm enjoying something that I haven't seen on any other golf yet I'm sure it won't be long before someone here works it out though. I can say they cost $278 USD delivered to my door ....

It might be worth keeping the mod completely quiet, as it may not be in the spirit of the Forum to post a mod and not all the details. My 2c.

Applied my VWWatercooled.org.au stikcers!! (in metallic grey)

Was hoping it would match the Gold Coast VW sticker I had but I think I prefer this, a little more subtle

Now i'm stuck on where to put my "Join the diesel club" sticker... I'm thinking either above the Gold Coast one (but that area might look to busy), above the 3rd brake light or on the front windscreen above the rain sensor (but the wiper will attack it!)..

    Any suggestions?
