So with the Jetta 11,000km overdue for its service and being too broke to pay someone to do it, I did my first DIY oil change on the MK5. Actually easier than a Mk4.
I'm not a fan of the plastic oil filter housing though, I don't know how it did not crack.
    MK4 GTI - Sold
    MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
    MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

Dude, why didn't you do a shout-out on the forum earlier? I'm sure somebody would have offered to help / mentor you through the process.

Thanks for that. I had no problems with it at all, it is very simple.

Today I replaced a blown headlight bulb, not the 1st time but it is again easier than previous generations of VW, with the twist out holder and all.

New wiper blades, did the Kmart refill trick found here in the Mk4 DIY. Saved at least $50.
Aero-Wipers working like new again for $4.00
