New front rotors and pads, a set of new fuel injectors and whilst I had the inlet manifold off did a decarbon of the ports and valves. When I had reinstalled the inlet manifold I did a filter and oil change and she is running almost like new.

bit of a waste of time and money but better than causing an accident or getting defected.

I stuck some Michelin Primacy 3's on the Jetta after getting 85,500 kms on the Primacy HP's. I certainly noticed how quiet the new tyres were and the handling is great. I was impressed with the last set (my first ever set of Michelin's) and am glad I continued with this brand. Plus it was only $820 for the four corners, so I was well pleased!

Well technically it wasn't today... more like a month ago but I got an Alpine INE-Z928Ei 8-inch head unit installed!

I wasn't going to spend so much money but after I saw it installed in an Audi I couldn't help myself. It just looked so good! I got the dash kit installed with the VW logo programmed to come up on startup so I am very happy. It looks awesome!!

    Alpine Electronics of Australia

The screen and the size is probably the best feature of it, also the split screen between Navi and music works a treat too.

I got the digital radio add on also, but not sure it was worth the extra $350... time will tell as I'm assuming digital radio will be bigger in days to come.

It was installed by the guys at No Limit Electronics in South Melbourne. They did an awesome job and when I had some issues they were extremely helpful and fixed any mistakes that they made. Top job!

Fitted my new anodised black wheel bolts to my matte black Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's and finally painted my rear brake calipers "VW blue" to match the front set.

I fitted the original taillights and sprayed the little grills each side that hold the foglights.

    That sounds about right.

APR tune is $1495 at the moment with all the extras thrown in. Carbonio is $575 plus another $345 for the APR stage 2 intake pipe & $60 for the bracketry.

Easy potential for $2500 so if he got it for $1300 he did well. I'm not saying I'd be happy to pay it but APR have never marketed themselves as a budget priced alternative.

You've got cheaper alternatives in Melbourne like GIAC, REVO, and VIEZU. No need to pay APR's high prices, especially when places like GIAC (DubAddiction, Volkwerke, Volkstech) offer free Tune upgrades and allows you to use your own hardware and are not limited like APR.
