I don't do much, and this was spur of the moment, but swapped my stock 15"s to some 17" Classix I found on gumtree. I think I like 'em.

Did the same to mine, but plastidipped them black cause they had some light rash. They look great for OEM wheels tbh.

The dipping might be the way to go. I had these wheels on my Mk5 and I used to curse at the effort required to get the brake dust out of the spokes.

The dipping looks bloody fantastic, great work.

Brake dust was a nightmare on my 15s too so I'm hoping it's not too much more work! I've received them with some tiny black specs on there, reckon I can get them off?

edit: pls excuse my phone's poor night time camera quality, the light spreads out a lot more than in the photo.

Well I went down to the car and the remote would not unlock it. I tried the boot anyway and it opened, so must not have locked after last trip, I usually walk away and just press the lock button expecting it to work.
So I changed the battery, simple enough did the wife's a month back too.
But then the remote would not unlock the car at all, Red led on fob light up, but car did not respond at all.
    The other remote worked fine.

    Felt gutted
STUPID ****ING VW ALWAYS ****ING BREAKING !!

Anyways a 2 second google search found that you need to manually lock and unlock with key after replacing the battery - Go figure.
