I thought VW's recommendation was 7 years or 105k (15k per year).
I did my 90k service for my GTI at 6 years at a VW dealer and no mention was made about the timing belt.
Ended up doing the 105k service including timing belt at 8 years at an independent.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
Well it was coming up to almost 7 years since manufacture, and it was recommended by the mechanic figure it was good to get it all done since the car was up for its service.
My understanding was that it was 6 or 7 years or 105k for the timing belt.
I cleaned my rims. That's about it. Thinking of have the ESC tuned. But i cant decide for the life of me which one to go with.
Took a while to receive it, worth the wait. Had it installed yesterday.
Just a casual 1 bar of boost
Neat install. Consider me jealous.
Try a K04 polo mate, watch it sail past 20psi haha

Thanks. It took 9 weeks to arrive, massive back orders. They make custom items for the euro cars. I was going to fit a 60mm gauge in it but couldn't find one I liked.
It's the beginning on what I'm going to do to the car. Next up is to flash the ECU. Don't know where to go yet.
