I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
LHR and RHR Lock actuators replaced at VW Ballarat. I really wanted to install them myself but don't have the time to fix in case I stuff it up.
LHR #7L0839015D $250
RHR #7L0839016D $276 (not sure why different?)
$865 installed.

I did nothing to my mk5 today. She might be feeling neglected, she might throw a fault if I keep it up
Did a few things in the last few days.
Plasti dipped front and read badges, and the red strip on the grille.
I polished the headlights using Meguiar's Headlights Restoration kit, and polishing pads which I attached to a cordless drill (has much better results than doing it by hand). Also added yellow fox light covers.
Oh I also fitted a Votex Replica Lip which I got from Hennessy Auto Styling. Really good service from these guys, and the lip is good quality and good fit as well..
And I also became a VIP member
GOLF 6 R - APR stage 1
MkV GTI 2008 MY09
- 80k service + timing belt and water pump replacement
- new set of Michellin PS3
A few unexpected expenses but all quality work done. Should enjoy much better grip over the winter months.
