    FYI - I paid $1157.14 through Jaz at SCC for the 3yr extended warranty on my V6 3.2 4motion DSG Passat Wagon (which has plenty of gizmos and gadgets on it to break !) - yes, sorry, I know it is not a Golf or Jetta but it interesting info anyhow for this thread for those shopping around for this.

    The fact I bought my A3 through them 3 yrs ago may have helped me get an extra special discount ,so maybe leverage off the dealership you bought it from if you bought it new.

    no.
    all they asked me for was the rego and fished out the VIN etc from their files.
    Then sent me the policy info all in the mail

    Ok, now to report the good news. Jamil did return one of my calls and I have now purchased the extended new vehicle warranty from him for $1,228.89 for my 2007 Passat 2.0 TDI Wagon. That's the best quote I had and I bought it on the last day of my factory warranty - definitely the right time to stop looking around!

    I got sick of Calling SCC for Jaz's stand in (John) while she's away (I believe she's in the Hospital).... 3 Calls later and no return calls or no chance of getting through, I gave up so went to my local dealer and got them to price match + beat by 10%. So VW Extended Warranty for $1269 on a Golf MKV GTI

    So Jamil offers VW extended factory warranty?? or is it dealer extended warranty??

    I live in Brisbane so I presuming it would be ok to organise this over the phone??
