PM with your email address ad I will send you the PDF.

I think if anyone is not using Allianz , ie the Official VW Warranty provider then it is not a VW warranty - VW Woolongong just emailed me the doc and its the Allianz one, ie VW Official Extended Warranty.

Agree. Best to go with the Allianz VW one as that is the closest you can get to a FULL Manufacturers warranty and has none of those cap limits.

Thanks for that. I'll probably end up ditching before the end of 100,000kms.

Ok everyone. I would like to formally place here the offer that has been negotiated on behalf of the forum members by jeloz. It is a very significant discount from the RRP for those that are interested in obtaining the cheaper rate warranty that is a proper 3 year VW extension underwritten by Allianz (as discussed).

This is a VWWatercooled exclusive offer.

Full Manufacturers Warranty - Additional 36 Months after original 36 months...
Make sure you read the documents etc as there are some KM exclusions (PM me with your email address if you want me to mail you the extra cover PDF)
    ***Does not include Roadside Cover***

    R32 - AUTO /MANUAL $1417.95
    GTI - AUTO / MANUAL - $1417.95
    1.6 COMFORT - - $1038.00
    1.9 TDI COMFORT/TRENDLINE - $1269.24
    2.0 FSI - $1038.45
    2.0 TDI - $1269.24

You will need to contact Southern Classic Cars - (02) 4254 2000 - asking for Jaz Hokin.

    Happy extending!

    1. I think you can purchase at any time before the 3 years warranty is up, but the question is, how much earlier would you want to purchase it? Say you write off the car or it gets stolen, I doubt you can ask for a refund (I may be wrong so worth a question).
    2. I don't think it matters where you live, but if you read the PDF that should clear it up!
