    VW's 3 Year Extended Warranty

Not sure if this is in the wrong section but..guess it will be moved if incorrect

My factory 3 year warranty (MK5 R32) is up in September and I have started ringing around to purchase a 3 year VW Extended Warranty and the list price is $2212 and within 3 calls I have got it down to $1877.

No doubt there is some margin in such a product which is really just insurance!

If there are other people in the same boat and have warranty expiring August 09 through to December 09 let me know if you want to get involved in a group buy and I will happily negotiate a great price for us all.

I do have the policy document which explains all if you want it let me know.

    Hope this is welcomed!

    Cheers

My warranty expires in September, I could be interested to get on the bandwagon. I've seen posts on this forum with prices around $1600 if I recall correctly.

    Cheers

There is defintely margin in extended insurance. I recently bought an extra 3 years for my Nissan Murano and got he price down from about $1300 down to $900 from memory.

I reckon its a good time to ask at the end of the month and speak to the service manager. He has targets too.

WOW! this was worth posting...but a Jetta Warranty may be a different price to a Golf warranty and then again there may be a different price for an R32 etc.

Maybe a mod can make a sticky as id $1450 ($762 discount!) is correct for a Golf - that rocks and that dealer deserves all our business.

Guessing it is these guys - Southern Classic Cars - (02) 4254 2000

I will bell them tomorrow and check it out.

    Many thanks
