    SuperPro Supaloy Control Arms

    Hi Chaps -

Anybody tried these out on their Mk5's yet?

They look interesting. I'm guessing most of the improvement is from the stiffer bushings..

    Anybody run them?

    Cheers.

I've got them on my mk6. Big improvement! Steering feels lighter and turn in is so much sharper. Also about 2kg weight saving per side over oem.

Easy enough install job? Do you need a wheel re-alignment done (ie can be it be done at home?)

How much did they set you back?

    Cheers.

I had my VW specialist instal them. 1.5hrs labour. The gearbox has to be lifted a little to get the front bolt out on the LH lower control arm. RHS is easy as. If you have a hoist at home it would be ok to install at home. Yes you need to get a wheel alignment done after installation.

I got mine from this ebay seller for $520 shipped. VW MK5 MK6 GTI GOLF R Audi S3 Arm Super Pro Lower Control Arms & Anti-lift Kit | eBay

Thinking of getting a set of these too.

Did they make the ride comfort different at all?

    Thx..

I presume if they're lighter they're made from a different material? Aluminium? No reliability/toughness issues? (My car gets driven real hard)...

    Cheers fellas.

Looked at those too, but then decided in favour of OEM AUDI S3 kit. Aluminium as well with stiffer OEM bushings.
Will do those when my chocks are due... 100K on the now, getting close

They are made of aluminum. I've only had mine on for 1500km. I guess they would bend if you hit a solid object at speed just like the oem arms would.

Guy Harding uses these on his Golfs. So they must handle track use fine
