Hi Guys,
Has anyone experienced with their sunroof open and close by itself? Sometimes my windows open by itself as well. Very strange.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks
Henry

No i was driving and i can hear the sunroof open and close.
If your driving and its operating on its own Check all your connectors and then possibly replace CCM
How old is your battery? Some weird things happen when the battery is on its way out

Our sunroof opens (tilts) by itself. Usually when cruising along the Expressway or just tootling along at 60ks Never closes itself. Doesn't slide by itself. Turn knob to open then back to close and it closes, only to open again a day or so later?? Windows behaving OK so far.
Check your driver's door wiring harness, where it passes from the door and into the A-pillar. Just pull the rubber boot back as far as you can, and check for broken wires.
I'm almost certain something to do with the sunroof is in that harness, and goes back to the driver's door control module.

If It wasn't a VW I would think you are having a lend of me Umai. Yet VW logic says you are right, why would a sunroof with the controls on the roof just in front of it not have wiring going into the drivers door?? Pity VW chose to use wire which hardens and breaks after a few hundred cycles. One in the tailgate broke and the others there are quite stiff.
