Evening everyone,
I recently purchased a Jetta from Sydney and had taken it to a certain VW specialist in South Melbourne to service and also look over for a RWC so i can transfer the rego to Victoria. Below is a list of items that I have been advised require changing. I'm believe a few items are not required for RWC -
Engine Wash + Degreaser = $132.83
Replace Indicator Assembly in Mirror & Indicator Lens = $107.22 (the indicator doesn't work, figured it was a globe?)
Replace CV Boot Outer = $198.00
Replace Control Arm Bearing Bracked x 2 = $354.12 (Bushes are 'beginning to crack')
Replace Sway Bar Link 315K & 315J = $215 ('Stabilizer link boots broken')
Replace Rear Discs & Pads = $402.50
Misc Labour & 'Support' = $170.00
RWC Report = $185.00
Prices above do not include GST
What are your thoughts on the list above? If i get any of them done it will definitely be elsewhere as those prices are crazy.
Engine wash & degreaser is not needed. Would also be asking more about the misc labour & support.
If you like you can book it in at the dealership I work for. I myself am qualified to issue roadworthy certificates. Drop me a PM if you would like to get some details.
